Who's Juice Box Artist?
That one's easy. It's this girl.
Well, for the most part anyway. I do receive wonderful help with certain projects and with the shop, but all of the portfolio work and website design has been done by me. If you still wanna know more about me.. I'm a college student from Nashville, TN. I love design, animation, and music. In my spare time I love playing guitar or fiddle, writing
(check out my writing portfolio on the site, too), geocaching, and, to be perfectly honest, watching tv. Also, I am a Type 1 Diabetic, which actually is how Juice Box Artist got started. You see, I set out to create a place to share some of the unique -- and hopefully stylish -- products I designed for myself to use. Although, it is certainly more than that for me now; it has grown into a portfolio site and shop that shows even more than my diabetic-themed art. My goal is still the same as it was in the beginning: to make unique and stylish products/art for the world, and for type1 diabetics, to enjoy.

Wait, What do you do?
You ask really good questions. Well, I am currently a junior in college, and I'm studying animation and graphic design. Building logos and graphics and designing websites (like this one) are the main things that I do. However, I also have experience in illustration, in painting murals and personal paintings, in creating portraits, and with other various commissioned works of art in various media. Many projects (unless they asked not to be because we all like our privacy, right?) are featured on this website.

What's up with the name?
Yeah, the name may sound kinda' weird. But trust me, there is a story behind it.
It is a long story, but I'll hit the high points for you. It goes back to our previous discussion of Who is Juice Box Artist? Juice Box Artist is me, Harper Elaine Lee, a type 1 diabetic who has to carry around a juice box with her everywhere she goes in case her blood sugar gets too low.
A few years ago, when I learned I was T1D, and everything that being an insulin-dependent diabetic entails, I also learned what it felt like for my blood sugar to get low, real low. Flo Rida low. It doesn't feel good. It is also very dangerous.
I have learned that the single best thing to do during a low blood sugar episode is to drink from a juice box. Juice boxes save the lives of type one diabetics all the time!
Well, my art doesn't actually save lives. Still, I want my art to have a purpose, and I hope it does for others what a juice box does for me -- makes people feel better. (Plus the name just kinda' sound cool.)
